Peter Hughes has had over 20 years of extensive international business experience in the development and management of complex, multi-faceted roles and organizations. Peter has held line management responsibilities in both publicly listed and private enterprises, and in more recent times has initialized and founded a global health operating division for a major Australian public company which had a gross turnover in excess of AUD$600m per annum.

Prior to the last 6 years Peter has been responsible for the development and operational establishment of the most technologically advanced private acute care hospital in the Southern Hemisphere and completed the turn around and re-positioning of two major not for profit bio-medical research institutions and a publicly listed technology enterprise.

Peter has founded and currently holds ownership positions in a number of private for profit entities. Peter is a globally recognized expert in the design, development and operation of primary, sub-acute and acute healthcare systems and infrastructure and is a sought after speaker and educator who holds undergraduate degrees in both environmental science and architecture and post graduate qualifications including an MBA and a DBA. After leaving the Epworth HealthCare Group in 2007 where he was the Executive Director / CEO of Epworth Eastern Private Hospital, Peter is now the inaugural Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ekera Medical Ltd.

Dr Anthony (Tony) Coulepis has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences insutries and graduated with a PhD in microbiology from Monash University, specialising in Virology (Hepatitis A) and Microbiology.

Tony began his career with positions at Monash University, worked with the World Health Organisation (WHO), then at Fairfield Hospital for Infectious Diseases and at AMRAD Corporation Ltd, a biopharmaceutical company.  During his time in the biotechnology and life science industries, Tony was part of the Company's Senior Management Team and was involved with pharamceutical, diagnostic, manufacturing and reagent Divisions of AMRAD as the Company's Business Development Director and the General Manager of its Biotech Division.

Tony has held a variety of positions during his career including CEO, Chairman of the Board, Board Director, General Manager, Business Development Director,Strategic Industry Advisor, Operations Director, Laboratory Director and Senior Scientist.

During his career, Tony is the author of more than 80 healthcare scientific and industry publications, has produced over 60 industry submissions, organised more than 252 healthcare/biotechnology scientific industry events Australia wide and was involved in more than 25 international missions as well as a speaker at many national and international scientific conventions.
